Recruitment Guide 2021
Hey PNM! We are eagerly counting down the days to Recruitment and we can’t wait to meet you! We’ve been working hard this break to give you the best experience, despite current challenges. We understand how exciting yet nerve-wracking being a potential new member can be so we wanted to give you an easy Recruitment guide to help you out! Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels included and safe no matter their location which is why all of our events will be virtual on *Zoom!

FSL New Member Info Sessions - Before you can go to any Recruitment event or be considered for a bid, you must attend one of Jason Meier’s FSL New Member Info Sessions. All sessions will be conducted online. Each session runs for an hour and will introduce you to all the different FSL groups on campus.
Here are the dates:
Friday, January 15 at 1:00-2:00 PM EDT
Friday, January 29 at 12:00-1:00 PM EDT
Monday, February 1 at 4:00 - 5:00 PM EDT
Tuesday, February 2 at 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT
Wednesday, February 3 at 5:00 - 6:00 PM EDT
Thursday, February 4 at 5:00 - 6:00 PM EDT
Org Fair (January 22nd 10 AM-2 PM) - Org Fair will be asynchronous and synchronous. The asynchronous portion will happen on an app called Flipgrid, where you’ll be able to communicate with our organization by asking questions through video messages. The synchronous part will happen on Emconnect. There will be a Powerpoint made by SEAL that will include all the orgs on campus. Gamma will have its very own slide and a Zoom link where you can join and meet some of our incredible members! We’d love for you to pop in and say hi.
Info Sessions (January 25 - 27) - We will be holding 3 in total. These are a great way to meet actives in a more intimate setting while also learning more about our sorority’s history, values, and events throughout the year.We encourage you to attend one if you’re interested in joining Gamma.

Info Session 1 - Monday, January 25th @8 pm - 9:30 pm EDT
Info Session 2 - Tuesday, January 26th @6 pm - 7:30pm EDT
Info Session 3 Wednesday, January 27th @8pm-9:30pm EDT
Xi and Chais (begin January 25 until Bid day) - Xi and Chais are an optional and additional way to get to know our sisters throughout Recruitment whether you want to grab a cup of coffee or chat via Zoom! This semester dates can be virtual or in person. Once you fill out the interest form, linked down below, the Recruitment team will reach out to you and set you up with an active sister starting the 7th.
Meet and Greet (February 1st @ 8pm-10pm EDT)- Our first Recruitment event to kick off the week! At this event, you’ ll have the opportunity to chat with the sisters and get a quick overview of Gamma and what makes our sorority so special!
Gammas and Pajamas (February 2nd @8pm-10pm EDT)- Come in your favourite pajamas and get cozy with us! This event like all of our others will be done on Zoom. We will be hosting what we like to call Sister Speed dating where you’ll rotate into different breakout rooms and you’ll be able to meet and chat with current sisters!
Philanthropy Night (February 3rd @8pm-10pm EDT)- At this event, our Philanthropy Chair will give you more insight into our philanthropy, The Kids in Need Foundation. You’ll get to hear about Gamma Games, other community service opportunities, and our philanthropy plans for this upcoming semester. You will also get to hear from our Diversity and Inclusion Chair who will talk about how we plan to be better allies as sisters and contribute to BIPOC communities.
Gamma Gala (February 4th @8pm-10pm EDT)- Gamma Gala is our only closed event and is invite-only. You will be notified of your invitation, the night of the 3rd, by email.
Bid Day (February 7th)- Those who are extended bids, will find out no later than 12 P.M. the day of. To celebrate becoming a member of our chapter, you will be greeted outside on the public garden by the recruitment team (while following all COVID guidelines) to receive your bid and take a picture for our socials!
